Booked your Paris dates? Let the Tourist Office help you find your accommodation and organise the itinerary for your stay.
The Tourist Office
The Paris Tourist Office is there to help. The web site ParisInfo is packed with information on Paris and the Ile-de-France. There are six offices throughout the city itself, and they will all be happy to answer your questions. Another great site: Le Nouveau Paris-Île-de-France lists events, monuments and museums etc.
Not to be missed
There are certain things you just have to see: the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, the Château de Versailles… Because Paris has so many museums and monuments, it is a good idea to prepare your itinerary before you leave. Handy tip: the Paris Museum Pass gives you access to 60 sites, including the Louvre, the Quai Branly, the Arc de Triomphe…
Book your excursions
For some excursions, it is better to book your seats ahead: opera, theatres, concerts, shows… Find out how to book on venue web sites.
Manage your budget
The Paris Tourist Office provides essential information on the cost of living for working out how many Euros you will need for your stay in Paris: meals, cultural activities, getting around… If you have a small budget, there are guides full of handy ideas.
Also, entrance to many museums and monuments is free on certain days of the week and in periods of the year. Notice that the entrance to the permanent collections of the national museums and monuments is free for young people under 26-years-old from one of the 27 European Union countries.
